History
 
1963 First manufacture of mineral fibre ceiling tiles using our own patented manufacturing process.

1970 AMF-Mineralplatten GmbH set up as an independent business.

1995
Joined to the Knauf Management Company by means of a 50% takeover of AMF.

1996 Increase of production capacity to 25 million m² as a result of the installation of a new raw board drier
and a further finishing line.

2002
Remaining 50% of AMF taken over by the Knauf Management Company. Factory premises extended
as a result of the purchase of neighbouring real estate and buildings.

2003 Investment project Factory II – Installation of a further raw board production line and finishing line.

2004 Our annual capacity is 25 million m².

2005 Factory II starts operating. Our total capacity in Factories I and II is now 50 million m².

2006 Forum AMF opens with 1300 m² of floor space: a highly advanced centre for training and innovation.

2007
Increase in the capacity of Factory II to 35 million m² as a result of extending the drier. Construction
of a second finishing line for specialised products and of a laminating line.

2008 / 2009 Further investments to expand capacity, productivity and product range

2010 Investment in its own plant for an AMF ceiling grid
